Product description

Silicone Gel Scar Sheets for Scar Treatment / Reduction mimic the natural barrier function of healthy skin, diminishing scars both old and new, and restoring skin to a more natural texture and color. Silicone Scar Sheets protect the delicate scar area and help relieve the itching, burning and pain accompany scars. Silicone Scar Sheets are breathable, flexible, and durable and are used by plastic surgeons, hospitals, clinics and burn centers around the world. Silicone Scar Sheets work on hypertrophic scars and keloids, which have a raised and discolored appearance and are usually stiffer than the surrounding skin. Hypertrophic scars remain within the boundaries of the original injury, while keloids extend beyond the original injury site, involving the surrounding skin. Both types of scars are often tender, itchy, and even painful, and depending on their location can impact mobility. Effective on old as well as recent scars. Use for around 4hrs daily and increase by 2hrs every 2 days up to the optimal duration of 24hrs per day. Duration will vary from person to person and will depend on the severity of scarring. An effective cosmetic effect can be expected within 2-4 months of continuous use however results can vary. Important For newly healed wounds, use silicone scar sheets as soon as the skin is healed and there is no weeping, leaking or crusting in the area. Treatment for post surgical scars may typically begin 1-2 weeks after stitches are removed or when cleared by your physician or surgeon for use. For existing scars, treatment can be started right away, provided the skin is fully healed. In warm weather or during increased physical activity, the sheets should be cleaned more regularly. If rash or irritation persists then stop use and consult your health care provider DO NOT USE ON OPEN WOUNDS, OR WOUNDS THAT HAVE NOT FULLY HEALED. DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO MEDICAL GRADE SILICONE
